A RITE OF PASSAGE

A Young Man on the Front Line: Lessons of War is a memoir of a young man as a soldier during and after World War II. The story chronicles his experience becoming a soldier, his soldiering days, and his ability to reconcile his life in the aftermath of his war experiences while contemplating “lessons of war”.

The story’s theme of trauma, adaptation and self-actualization, quickly draws  the reader into a heartfelt connection to the character’s coming of age and end-of-life self-acceptance, while gaining a more profound understanding of World War II and its aftermath.

“In A YOUNG MAN ON THE FRONT LINE, a daughter gives voice to her father, gathering together his own records of his experience in World War II as a young man and the lessons in life it taught him. Powerful pictures and her own experience of the father who loved her inform her account. His is a voice of integrity and compassion in the face of trauma that we need to hear today.”
